As publisher of two previous Palm Beach focused books, Palm Beach: Faces and Places and Palm Beach’s Most Popular Restaurants, StarGroup president, Brenda Star, was looking to create a book that would showcase the world-class homes, products, services, and local information that would be of interest to area residents.  “We wanted to focus on the current market and the prolific artisans and professionals that are elevating the quality of Palm Beach life today.  The goal of the book is to acknowledge and highlight those companies and individuals who are leaders in their field.  They are responsible for buying and selling, financing, furnishing, servicing, landscaping, designing, and building some of the most extravagant and landmark estates homes in America.”

Longtime Palm Beach real estate broker, Lawrence A. Moens, initiated the project.  Providing clients with significant market expertise, industry contacts, and the utmost in confidentiality, Mr. Moens has represented buyers and sellers in some of the highest priced estate home transactions in Palm Beach history.

Joining Lawrence A. Moens Associates, Inc. in this collaboration is award-winning home builder, Mark Timothy, Inc.; Ballinger and Shuler Award winner, Jacqueline Albarran, Architect P.A.;  award-winning Marc-Michaels Interior Design, Inc.; Arthur Ross Award winner, SMI Landscape Architecture, Inc.; IberiaBank; Harless & Associates, CPAs; and law firm, Jones Foster.  Heavily visual, the book’s photography includes interiors and exteriors of award-winning homes, alongside expert insights.

Laurel Baker, Executive Director of the Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce, contributed a wealth of knowledge about the island and provided historical content about the legendary Worth Avenue and its breathtaking vias.

The Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach provided its detailed Walking Tour Map of Palm Beach which highlights Palm Beach’s most notable historic buildings, and most influential architects of the early 20th century.

Lois Pope, a nationally recognized philanthropist, and humanitarian, is included in the book to represent the community’s generous spirit, and the significant role that fundraising plays in the Palm Beach lifestyle.

The hardcover, 100 page, 8” x 8” book will be distributed throughout Palm Beach County to Chambers of Commerce, business and civic associations, in addition to non-profit organizations.  Beginning this week, thousands of complimentary copies are being distributed at fundraising galas , including LIFE’s “Lady in Red” gala; The American Heart Association’s “Palm Beach Heart Ball”; the Palm Beach Police Foundation’s “Policeman’s Ball”; and others.
